**Event Details**
The 2025 AMA Research Challenge includes the following symposium halls:
* **Semifinals hall:** Features research from 58 medical students, residents and international medical graduates that received top scores during first round scoring. 
* **Poster symposium hall:** Features research from 1,000+ medical students, residents and international medical graduates categorized by topics and subtopics.

**Log in at any time throughout the event to:**
* **View posters and presentations** on a variety of topics and specialties
* **Score posters in the semifinals** to help decide the top five finalists (AMA member exclusive opportunity)
* **Connect with presenters** and provide feedback to help advance their research

At the conclusion of this event, the AMA will announce the top five finalists who will advance to the AMA Research Challenge final round, present their research to an elite panel of judges, and compete to win a $10,000 grand prize presented by Laurel Road.

**Participating Institutions**
In 2025, 1,400 abstracts were submitted across six topic areas representing 188 medical schools and 235+ residency and medical institutions. **Grand Prize Sponsor**
AMA would like to thank Laurel Road for sponsoring a $10,000 grand prize for the winner of the AMA Research Challenge. Laurel Road is not involved in winner selection process. The winner will be announced during the AMA Research Challenge finals. Payment of the grand prize will be directly from Laurel Road. The Chen Institute Symposium for AI Accelerated Science, organized in partnership by the Chen Institute and UC Berkeley College of Computing Data, Science, and Society, is an annual event dedicated to exploring groundbreaking advancements in AI that are reshaping scientific discovery across disciplines. Each year, leading researchers, industry innovators, and influential thought leaders gather to discuss how cutting-edge AI methodologies—such as foundational models, long-term memory mechanisms, synthetic data generation, and research process automation—are revolutionizing the scientific landscape.

The symposium features plenary lectures, interactive breakout sessions, and in-depth discussions focused on emerging AI breakthroughs and their transformative impact on fields including medicine, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. 

The event culminates in the prestigious Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute and Science Prize for AI Accelerated Research Award Ceremony. This prize honors exceptional early-career scientists whose empirical discoveries in the physical or life sciences were made possible through the innovative use of AI techniques.

We are pleased to announce the Fortieth AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AAAI-26), which will be held in Singapore EXPO from January 20 to January 27, 2026.

The purpose of the AAAI conference series is to promote research in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and foster scientific exchange between researchers, practitioners, scientists, students, and engineers across the entirety of AI and its affiliated disciplines. AAAI-26 will feature technical paper presentations, special tracks, invited speakers, workshops, tutorials, poster sessions, senior member presentations, competitions, and exhibit programs, and a range of other activities to be announced.
